Author Bio

Lucian Mattison is a US-Argentinian poet and translator. He is the author of three books of poetry, Curare (C&R Press, 2022), 2023 International Latino Book Awards Silver Medalist; Reaper's Milonga (YesYes Books, 2018); and Peregrine Nation (Dynamo Verlag, 2017), winner of the 2014 Dogfish Head Poetry Prize.

He won the Puerto Del Sol Poetry Prize, nomination for a Pushcart Prize by The Cincinnati Review, and has poetry, short fiction, and translations that appear in numerous journals, including The Adroit Journal, CutBank, Hayden's Ferry Review, LIT, The Nashville Review, The Offing, The South Carolina Review, and have been featured on poets.org. He received his MFA from Old Dominion University and is an associate editor of poetry for Barrelhouse.
